Zombie 5K

Over the Halloween weekend, the 5 of us did a little fun run together.  It was awesome to have Morgan with us.  She's at BYU right now as a freshman.  When the church announced the age minimum change, she was one to put her papers in right away.  I'm proud of my niece for making that decision to serve a mission.  I think she'll be the first girl to serve on Nichole's side of the family...for both our sides actually

CUTE COUSINS

This was so fun doing together.

Ava's birthday #5

When I got home from work, Jake told me to go look at Ava.  When I got next to Ava, she kept hinting something new with her and twitching her face.  I didn't really quite get what she was referrng to.  Then, she told me she had gotten earrings for her birthday.  She not only got earrings, but she got her ears pierced.  Jake was cute to hold her hair back for the picture.  My little girl is growing up

For her 5th birthday, Ava brought her 2 best friends, Hope Baker on the left with Ava and the other Ava Nicole Welch to the right...cute girls!  We went to Jungle Jim's, which seems to be a family tradition for birthdays
HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!!

Mom and Eli were there, too

A little remodel project

For 5 years, ever since we've moved into this house, I've wanted to re-do the fireplace.  It is finally finished!!!  In all, it took me about 60 hours, which I did over 2 Saturday's and weeknights for 2 weeks.  It was tiring, but definitely worth it.  I was so excited to finally get it done.

At first, I didn't really want Nichole taking this picture because I was just in my g-top after getting home late from work and didn't want to change into other clothes.  But, I'm glad she did because it shows the before picture.  Ava was right in the middle of it helping her daddy

Jake kept telling me how hard of a worker I was.  Even Ava said, "wow, I didn't know daddy worked that hard when he's away from home."  It was funny at the time when she said it

Jake was a hard worker, too, helping me with the cabinets.  He was so cute coming into the garage to help out

Just finishing the arch

IT'S FINISHED!!!  I took this picture before getting the new 50" plasma TV.  Next project...paint, woodwork and carpet

Halloween fun!

It's an eagle, a raccoon, Hanna Montana and a gangster.  This was the first year that Brad didn't want to go trick or treating with dad...sad!  He went with his friends, Grayson and Mitchell

Crazy eyes!

I sure love these kids...I guess Nichole and I make some good looking kiddos...and fun ones!

Moping?

Ethan had tryouts this past week for the 10th grade basketball team but, unfortunately, did not make the cut.  It was tough for him to see that a couple of the boys made the team over him that shouldn't have.  He's bound and determined to get better, he says, for next year to make the JV squad.  Ethan is a good defender, but he says he needs to work on his ball handling skills and offensive moves.  It's okay, bud!  I used to think basketball was everything.  Look where that got me...riding the bench in church league

Jake's love note

While cleaning up the yard, I found this little note...cute and classic!!

Hairstyle glamour

Oh, the different hairstyles...all girl!  We were looking at a hairstyle magazine together that Nichole had gotten.  Little Miss Ava showed me all the styles she liked.  Now, she wants to color, or highlight her hair.  But, she is not the only one that wants to.  Mr. Jake wants to color his hair blonde or at least add some highlights

I guess it runs in the family Jake...

Back when Ethan was still little, I used to color my hair blonde.  Jake, Mom says you have to wait until you're a teenager to color your hair, though.  A little sidenote, I love this picture...Ethan in the background, me hugging mom and mom's mom in front
