Baptism Day! June 13, 2020. Saturday, was a special day for my 8-year old boy, Eli. He had been waiting anxiously to get baptized due to the delay of the baptism itself because of the coronavirus. So, we were able to have the baptism but with a limited number of people. We had immediate family there plus two friends of Eli's, Riker and Austin. Grandma Merrill was there as well. We blessed Eli and confirmed him a member of the church. We blessed him that he would be a great son of God, and that he would enjoy being a member of Jesus's church throughout his life. We also blessed him to be able to stand strong and firm for the truth and for the principles of the gospel which will be attacked during his lifetime. We also blessed him that he would be a good example to his friends and associates and with others he comes into contact with. He was also blessed to continue to be a wonderful brother and son to his mom and dad. He is to be a blessing to many people's lives, and he will also strive to have others bless his life. We also blessed him that he will love other people unconditionally as well as feel loved and be loved by others as well as feel the love that his Heavenly Father has for him continuously. I truly felt that these blessings were inspired and that these words did not come from me. They were truly from his Heavenly Father as I felt the influence of the Holy Ghost in Eli's behalf.
