Laid back Sunday

After church yesterday we went over to have dinner with David, Carolyn, Chelsea and Savanna.  Whenever David cooks, the food is amazing.  It is never something simple.  I ate so much I could hardly breathe.  However, we still can't get Eli and Ava to hardly eat a thing. Eli will only eat sweets...especially chocolates.  Ava will take like 2 bites and says she is full.  Then, when it's time for bed she'll claim that her stomach hurts...crazy kids

Brad's Klondike

We recently went on a campout with the 12 - 13 year old boys up to Strawberry Reservoir.  This was supposed to be our "Klondike" event, but it was so much nicer!!  We actually stayed inside at a log cabin that belongs to Trent Jarrett's family.  Trent is the Assistant Scoutmaster.  When Trent was called as an Assistant about a year ago, we had no idea that a cabin was apart of his family.  So, I told him, "hey, we were definitely inspired to call you to this calling.  We had no idea you had a cabin."  The kids were so excited to enjoy camping for a change as opposed to freezing outside.  We were able to enjoy a nice evening of just relaxing, talking together and working on a merit badge.  The kids that went were, from left to right...Brennan Russell, Kaden Hunt, James Hanna, Max Barton (Lewis Barton's son), Liam Byrne, Braden Christiansen, Brad, and Mitchell York

Trent's cabin was pretty cool.  In addition, they had all the toys...a boat and a couple atv's among other things.  So, even though there wasn't much snow, we took the kids out sledding with the atv.  They each were able to get hooked up to the end of the atv and get dragged behind on a sled made for sled dragging.  The funnest part was all the snow kicking up in their faces and seeing them trying to hang on.  No one got hurt, so it was a success.  We made sure to go pretty slow and had spotters the whole time

Lewis pulled a funny.  I have no idea what he was thinking, but one minute we were driving on the road, the next minute he's stuck.

I asked Brad what was 1 thing that he liked about the Klondike campout.  He said, "the bean bag".  Typical kid response.
