Family hike. On a Sunday, we decided to head up American Fork canyon and go for a ride and get a small hike in. This was probably around mid May. Since we have not been going to church lately, this kind of turned into our Sunday worship. Love this group!
Brad, Eli and myself went to the American Fork golf course driving range a couple of times. We realized that Brad is really consistent. He's consistent with his slice 😁 And, Eli holds the club backwards! Brad and I tried to get him to hold the club correctly, but he was insisting on doing it his way. We could not persuade him. Hmm, I wonder where he gets his stubbornness from?!
For one of my Sunday devotional "runs", I went over to Utah Lake. This picture was along a part of the lake where the water comes into it. I thought the sunrise was pretty with the sunrays shining through the clouds. It felt like a heavenly inspiration
This was hilarious to see Nichole's fingers after we went on a 4-mile walk. We laughed about her "Vienna sausage" fingers! 😭
Don came to visit. And as usual, we went for a ride together. We decided to bike up in Salt Lake and go over to Antelope Island. It was so sad to see the water level of the lake. It felt it was pretty much gone. I mean, look at this picture of the boat harbor! 😢
Eli took his friends, Ryker and Dennan, over to the Legacy Center. We were going to go swimming, but when we showed up at nearly 7:00, they told us the pool was closing in just a few moments. So, our swimming plans were nixed. Instead, we played some basketball together and ran a 5K on the track upstairs. Good times
This is just a picture along the bike path with the Jordan River
Father's Day. We got together with the Ralph clan to celebrate Dad. One special thing we did together is that we basically had a devotional where all of us said one thing that we all liked, remembered or were thankful for dad/grandpa. I mentioned how I would always know that Dad was at the basketball games because I could always hear his voice over the crowd either in celebration of something I did or his yelling at the ref.

Father's Day. Nichole had this great idea of going to Bangkok Grill in Orem all together, but when we showed up, the store was closed. And, so we drove over to the Orem University Mall and were going to try another restaurant, but that restaurant was super backed up due to the holiday. Well, unfortunately, Jake was pressed for time and only had about an hour of time before he had to leave to go out with friends. So, I was like, "hey, we're next to the mall. Let's just go to the food court." Well, I'm the dad and it was father's day celebration. So, that's what we decided to do. It worked out great that we could just all get what we wanted. The reality was that I was just glad to be all together. As the kids are growing up and moving on with their lives, I'm just happy for the moments we get to spend together! The expression on Eli's face is priceless. In the summer time, he loves to hang out with friends. But, when it comes to family time, well, this is what we get 😂

Nichole and I still love to go hang out together whether it's biking, going for a walk, playing tennis. I love hanging out together. It's in these moments, that we just love to talk
There was a huge wind storm from the night before this, so we decided to take a picture right where a huge tree fell onto the bike path
