Brad wanted to make a fire today. When I came into the backyard, there he was having already put the fire together. He likes having campfires. Before making the fire, he and I put together a strawberry peach cobbler in the dutch oven. It turned out soooo good! The great thing is that Jake and Ava didn't want any and Eli only took a small bite and said no thanks. Nichole only had a smidge as well. So, Brad and I got to eat like almost the whole thing. Needless to say, the diet went out the window today! He was pretty cute, having multiple helpings. Before the cobbler, we even made pina coladas in the blender...another low calorie entree. Mix the pina colada and cobbler with all the big football game goodies, and it's a recipe for extra workout hours required. I'm getting excited about learning to cook better and make different things. For example, with the young men, I've been introducing more cooking opportunities for them. A few weeks back we did fruit smoothies as well as had all of them make a favorite dish to share with the group. This past Friday, we did dutch oven cooking and a late night with games. It's been fun.
I was watching the game today between the Patriots and Falcons. Going into the fourth quarter with the Patriots down 28-3, I really thought the game was over. What an amazing comeback victory for the Patriots. I hate the Patriots, but I totally have to respect what they accomplished. When the game was nearly over, Jake came down from upstairs. His only remark was, "I can't believe the super bowl is still going on". That boy's not a big fan of football
