The simple joys of life
Yesterday, I went out with Nichole to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We were invited to go to the restaurant by Nichole's mom who wanted to pay for our dinner and congratulate me for qualifying to run the Boston marathon. At first, I was reluctant to allow her parents to pay for our dinner. But, then Nichole told me that was her mom's way of showing she cares and to not deny her mom of that privilege. So, I changed my attitude and happily agreed. We had a good night sitting there and talking. I learned from Lucinda herself of how she and Jesse met and how that really was Heavenly Father's guidance in their lives. It was good. Afterwards, when I got home with Nichole, I found this note from my precious little angel daughter on my bed. She is so thoughtful. She loves and lives for little notes and letters like this. I realized that I need to do this kind of thing more for my children so they know how much they mean to me and love them. I have the best children I could ask for. I really believe our children are sent to the correct family where the children and parents will grow stronger and better together.
