Ethan played on an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) team this summer, the Lehi Legion. They just finished up on Saturday after 2 months of a lot of practicing, lots of games, lots of work and lots of fun. It has been really good for him. He's done so well and has enjoyed so much playing with the team. This has been a great motivator for him and his health, too. He eats a lot better, he is a lot more active, healthier, and has gotten contacts. He's thinned down quite a bit and looks really good. Girls, watch out. Basketball has been a great motivator for him and I've been so proud of all he's been able to accomplish with this team. He's done all this on his own without his dad nagging him. His team improved so much with each tournament. He first played in the Westlake High tournament, then went to the UVU camp/tournament, and finished with the Big Mountain Jam tournament at the South Towne Expo Center in which they came in second place only losing in the championship game. I felt bad for him because he hurt his ankle really bad the day before in a previous game, so he could only play about 30 seconds in the championship game. In those 30 seconds he was able to get a rebound and shoot it back up getting fouled in the process. He went 1 for 2 at the line. Way to go Ethan. I'm proud of ya!
