Ava was excited to give her first talk at church, albeit in the Primary for Sharing Time. She did so good. The basic premise of her talk referenced the baptism of Jesus. It went a little something like this, "I am excited to give my talk today. I want to talk about the baptism of Jesus. We believe the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are first faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Second, repentance. Third, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. And fourth, the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan by John the Baptist because he had the proper authority. The Book of Mormon teaches us why He was baptized. He was baptized to humble Himself before Heavenly Father and to witness to the Father that He was willing to keep the commandments and to set an example for us to follow. We can be baptized like Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
My little girl is growing up. She did an awesome job! Way to go, sweetie!!
