Little Miss Ava, the student, is doing well this year over at Lakeview Academy. She is in her first year as a kindergartener and enjoys the charter school. She has a couple friends in the neighborhood that go to the same school with her which is good. But, she obviously gets the chance to go with her two older brothers. One night, after I got home from work, Nichole had me do the reading with her. Nichole thought it would be good that daddy reads together with his daughter as opposed to mommy always doing it. She was right. It felt good to read a few books with her. I'm a bad daddy. I need to do that more often. I always ask them every day how the day went with school, but I don't actually get involved with the learning process too much. I feel confident that this might be the case with many homes. In fact, I remember another time I started reviewing some of Ethan's math curriculum and I was flabbergasted at how much I had forgotten or couldn't do. My kids are smarter than I am!
