Spook Day

This was the second straight year that Brad thought he was too big to go trick-or-treating.  But, the others had fun.  Ava was Hanna Montana.  You've gotta love the hair!!  Eli was a little bear, so cute!  Jake was a dead rock star.  He looks good in green!  I wore my traditional Eagles jersey and wore my Eagles helmet.  I had fun going around with the 3 of them.  We went for quite a while around our neighborhood.  I ended up having to carry little miss Hanna Montana about half way through until the night was over.  She loves to be catered by her daddy.  It's kind of tradition that I go out with the kids while Nichole stays home to hand out the candy

So, you may ask, "why is Dennis an Eagle's fan?  Well, I have always loved the Eagles.  I recall when I was very little, I'm thinking no older than 5 or 6, that I loved their colors.  Then, I remember watching an Eagles game one Sunday and I remember Harold Carmichael skying high for a pass from Ron Jaworski.  I thought they were so cool.  I have loved them ever since.  Growing up in Washington, DC, I hated the colors of the Redsins, the Hogettes and basically anything to do with the Skins'.  It's been good to have the rivalry within the family, because Don and Darin like the Cowboys while everyone else in the family likes the Redskins.  So, on a year like this one when the Eagles go into Texas stadium and wins the division by beating up on Dallas it was great to savor the moment.  And, to top it off, the Redskins lost like 7 or 8 games in a row to finish out the year while my team won 7 of their last 8...good times!  Now, if only BYU could get their act together.
