2011 Thanksgiving Point Half Marathon

So, this picture was taken after the race back at home.  Nichole and I forgot to take the camera.  It was too bad, because this was my first half.  Are you thinking, "is that snow on the ground?"  Yeah, it was snow and it started out pretty cold in the morning.  It actually felt really good, because the cold weather actually helped to stay fresh.  I was so glad to do it.  I finished 37th overall out of 913 marathoners and 6th in my age group, 35 -39, with a pace time of 7:29/mile.  It was a good learning curve for me.  I started slower, thinking I had to pace myself, but then half way through, I decided to pick up the pace a little bit.  It was great.  I guess those scrawny legs are good for running.
