The thorns in my side or the loves of my life

Brand new little Baby Eli.  Even the umbilical cord is still fresh.  Dr. Lamereaux let me cut the umbilical cord.  That was the first time the doctor let me do that.  I was kind of nervous and shocked he let me do that.  It was like cutting rubber.  It really is amazing babies can come out healthy.  Birth is truly a miracle.  What a blessing he is to our family!

Sassy girl.  Are all girls sassy, or is just my daughter?  What a character.  It sure is fun to have a daughter amongst the herd of boys

Jake has such a beautiful complexion.  He is a great looking 9 year old.  He has darker skin than anyone else in our family.  He must have that because of having jaundice when a baby.  Or, is that an old wive's tale.

Brad just lost his tooth.  I'm not sure which one it was.  I think it was his molar.  He sure did get all puffed up though.  Knowing Brad, he probably pulled it out himself.  I love the cotton in his mouth, too

Driver's Permit!  For real?  Is Ethan actually old enough to drive?  Unreal.  If he thinks he's getting his own car though, he's got another thing coming.  Wow!

So, it's been 17 years of bliss being the best man to this cute girl.  How did I deserve her?  I'm excited she is my eternal companion.  I guess we have an eternity to go.  17 years is nothing compared to the eternities.  I guess we're still on our honeymoon.

These are the loves of my life...or possibly "the thorns in my side."  Hmm...it's hard to tell
