A few weeks back, mom and dad came over to the house telling me they had something for us. Well, this is what they brought over. They're so cute. Over the years, they had been collecting loose change and keeping it in their closet. I remember a few times seeing it there in their closet and thinking to myself, "what the heck are they doing with all this change?" Well, after all this time, this is what they decided to do with it. They came over to the house to give it to their grandkids. Ava was so excited that she wanted to be the one to count all the change. She did so with her best friend, McKenzie, the first night. But, because of so much change, they were unable to finish. So, she resumed counting the next day with Ethan and Brad. Before counting, we all took guesses of how much money was there. We all grossly underestimated. It was amazing how much ended up being there. But, it wasn't the amount that amazed me. It's the consistent willingness that mom and dad have to always want to help their family and give anything they have. It's one way they show their love. And, my kids sure love grandma and grandpa Ralphy☺
